Evaluation Part One
Our brief was to create either a music video or a children’s television drama. Initially I had chosen to do make an opening sequence of a children's television drama but I had a problem because no one else was doing a children’s television drama, so I decided to pair up with Anisha and her decision was to make a music video.
The brief for the music video was to create a music video for a company called SSP records. Our job allowed us to manage the promotion of one of their new acts, we also had to concentrate on creating one music video package including a DVD or CD cover for the digipak and an A4 magazine advertisement promoting the DVD package.
After quite a bit of research we decided to use a song from an amateur artist called Faraz Khan A.K.A ‘Kaution’ in the amateur music industry. Anisha found this artist through some of her friends and decided to use his song called ‘Waiting for You’ after hearing it on YouTube, we thought choosing this song was a good decision, we already had an idea on what we do if we used the song.
We got Kaution’s permission by asking him through the social networking site called ‘Facebook’ and thankfully he replied and gave us permission to use his song for our music video without any sort of hesitation or any doubts.
